This 1971 ss454 triple black Monte Carlo came to us from south Carolina however leaky windows led to quite extensive rust damage.  We began by disassembling the car down to a bare frame and shell.  The roof skin was removed and the shell sent to blast.  Upon return from blast the rust issues we're worse than anticipated with a lot of pinhole rust.  We started by replacing the front and back roof support braces as well as the front Window pillars.   We next tackled the rust in the cowl and toeboard sections.   From here the entire floor was removed to make room for the new 1 piece floor pan with braces.  Then it was the trunks turn wich also received a1 piece pan as well.  Next to go was the rear seat divider and package tray wich was also replaced by a new dynacorn panel.  While the package tray was removed the inner structure underneath the sail panels we're patched with pieces from a donner car.  We then removed the quarters to begin work on the inner and outer wheelhouses. The outers were in pretty good shape so all the needed was some minor patching the inners however were not in as good shape.  The next project we tackled was the fitment as well as the welding the N.O.S quarter panels, the dynacorn roof skin, deck filler panel and trunk panels.  The doors and trunk lid were also installed to ensure proper alignment.   The frame we be sent out for media blasting shortly so we can begin reassembly.  The rear end has been sent to be rebuilt as well as the housing blasted and powder coated.  All of the seams as well as well as the rest of the tub has been preped to seal and prime.We will be doing a complete from of on  this vehicle so check back for updates as we progress.
