   ' 70 - ' 72 Monte Carlo Fenders

Konik's Klassiks has a growing selection of NOS and reconditioned fenders. All of our reconditioned fenders go
thru the same process to make them ready for installation and final blocking at your painter:

    1. The fender is stripped to bare metal and inspected for any collision damage or rust.
    2. The edges of the fender are sandblasted to remove rust and scale.
    3. The large surface areas are stripped by hand to avoid warping, usually caused by sandblasting.
    4. Dents and dings are metal finished prior to filler work. All rust damage is repaired at this time.
    5. The fender brace is repaired or replaced as needed.
    6. High quality glass and filler is applied and the fender is rough blocked.
    7. The fender is sealed using PPG DP-90.
    8. The fender is again rough blocked, followed by 4 - 6 coats of PPG K-36.
    9. The fender is then color sanded using 180 grit.
    10. Steps 7 - 9 are repeated as necessary to ensure straight, smooth finish.
    11. Packaging of fenders is done by
St. Clair Packaging with double-wall insulated packaging to prevent
          damage during shipment.

See pictures below for our fender reconditioning process.
